A Small-town Senior Portrait Session in Sewickley
If you’re not sure about downtown but also not sold on a session in the park, a small-town senior portrait session might be the option for you. There are a number of cute little towns all around Western PA that are perfect for senior sessions. I’m happy to have Sewickley close by.
Starting in Sewickley
Miss A already had a location in mind when we started planning her session and it worked perfectly. Pittsburgh is a big city with a very small-town feel and part of that feel comes from the small neighborhoods and little towns that are both in and around the city. To capture a small-town vibe, we started in Sewickley. It’s one of my favorite little towns around Pittsburgh because it has so many great shops along a cute little main street. And those little storefronts provided a great small-town feeling for this sweet senior.
Two Locations. Three outfits. One very stylish senior
90-minutes might not seem like a lot of time for senior portraits but this senior proved that you could manage a variety of looks in different locations and all just under 2 hours. All it takes is a little bit of planning.

Miss A wanted photos that captured her great smile as well as her personality in her senior portraits! Walking around Sewickley, she was so at ease in front of the camera and you can see it in her images.
After a few shots in town, there was time to visit the nearby country club that they belong to. The setting sun and tall grasses around the course provided a softer setting for photos. And we had time for one more outfit change.
Senior sessions with Jodi Walsh Photography are meant to be sessions that capture your child as they take that last big step towards becoming an adult. That’s why I encourage my clients to be actively involved in all of the planning. This is more than just picking outfits but also includes locations and accessories and poses!
