child & family
Hi There and Welcome
We treasure our families and our time with them. Photography can be so important to documenting that time together. Capturing those precious moments as your family grows and changes is so important to telling your family story. Whether a portrait session is something you do regularly or is something to mark a special occasion, I want to do all that I can to make sure that you walk away with images that you love and products that you'll treasure for years to come.

What I Photograph
There are two options for portraits sessions with Jodi Walsh Photography that clients can schedule all year round. Choose to schedule a short session or a full session for your kids or family. To schedule, clients pay a creative fee. This fee covers the preparation leading up to the session and the time photographing your session. This fee does not include any digital or print products. Products can be ordered as a Collection or separately from the a la carte menu. Collections start at $270. Clients usually spend around $800 for digital files and print products.

I’ve always maintained that I stay behind the camera for a reason. I’m horribly uncomfortable when it’s on me. Here’s the thing. My kids don’t see those flaws. They see their mom, and love and beauty that I might never acknowledge. And that’s what your kids see in you. So, what I’m asking you to do is to not shy away from photos, especially photos with your kids. They want to have pictures of their mom and with their mom.

I'm a Pittsburgh area photographer specializing in newborn, children and tween and teen creative portraiture. In addition to my years of experience as a photographer, I have degrees in fine art as well as in art education from Carnegie Mellon University and the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
“I’ve been able to take my knowledge of art and child development and use it to create images that beautifully capture your child as they grow.”
I’m married with 2 kids (14 mos apart in age) who are on the verge of becoming teenagers. It's both incredibly exciting and terrifying at the same time but I absolutely adore these kids and I'm so proud of the people they are. We also have Pippin, our gray cat.
I also know that families aren’t perfect but that even the most imperfect families can still walk away with images that capture both beauty and love. That’s what I hope to provide for all of my clients.
