Fall Family Sessions in the North Hills

We’re mid-winter here in Pittsburgh and this is the time of year where I find myself revisiting my fall short sessions. I crave those early fall days when the sun was out more often than not, showering us with warm temperatures instead of snow.

For the past several years, I’ve offered short sessions for the fall. A quicker portrait session to update your photos and get that special shot for your holiday card without the commitment of a full session. I love them. My families love them.

This fall, I tried something different with my short sessions. I shot almost all of them at the same park! Normally, I like variety in my settings but this time I wanted to challenge myself to observe the park’s changing scenery while also finding new spots in the same small area to use on my own. Fortunately, this particular park has great little spots all over and it was beautiful for all of my families.

I just had to share these two sessions from early October.

It’s not always about sitting and smiling pretty for the camera.

mom and dad carrying little girl in a Pittsburgh area park
And it’s so important to catch those moments of joy! There’s no feeling in the world like being carried by mom and dad!

And remember, I have my tricks to get those grins too!

Did you know that short sessions can be scheduled all year round? Short Sessions are perfect for a birthdays and for capturing fun in the snow. They are also great for capturing that special First Holy Communion. I can capture all of those special moments for you just send me a message and we can start planning!
