Princess Mini Sessions in North Park
“There’s a princess inside everyone”
It was so much fun to meet up at North Park for princess mini sessions with three sisters and their sweet little brother. These kids all have such great imaginations and love playing pretend. They look forward to any visit where I bring dress-ups. This time I rented some amazing dresses from Little Dreamers Couture. These dresses are amazing and the sizing is so flexible. I was able to put one of the dresses on my 14-year-old daughter as well as the 11-year-old big sister. Each dress came with a coordinating headband or crown to complete the look. The girls happily added spins and twirls for flare.
How does a princess mini-session work?
Just like all of my portrait sessions, I try to make the experience fun and easy. These sessions are considered part of my Creative Sessions and can be scheduled as a regular session or booked when offered as a mini-session. I supply the dress or dresses. All you have to do is show up. It’s helpful if the girls wear a light undershirt but I also have a changing tent that I bring to allow for easy changes into the dresses.
Creative sessions can be planned along with a regular family session. For example, you can plan for the session to include some portraits in a princess dress and then change into more typical clothes for a family portrait. OR bring some fancier clothes and have a fancier family portrait experience.
Princess mini-sessions are offered in May and in September. Sign-up for my email list to be the first to know about those dates.
But what should my little boy wear?
The girls are easy with beautiful princess dresses but what about little brother? A button-down shirt with bowtie and suspenders perfectly coordinated with the princess dresses. As you can see, little brother enjoyed himself pushing his dump truck and looking for sticks.
Dressing up in a princess dress and playing pretend for an afternoon… what a fun way to break up the challenges of quarantine or to just enjoy a summer treat!
