Summer photos!

Summer days are such a great time to update photos.  There’s something about the light in summer- the sun gives this magical golden glow, the greens of the trees and the grass, and personally, I love the feel of the summer sun.

This was the last of the Matilda Jane mini sessions from spring.  We met up at the park near my house and went for our little walk.  If you’ve never had a session with me, this is how I like to work.  Walking and talking helps people to relax and get more comfortable with me (and it helps me to be more comfortable with my clients because I’m a bit of a shy introvert).

These two little monkeys were so friendly and fun and as you can see, Big Sister had her plenty of poses that she was eager to show off.

The best part was getting that natural smile.  How, you may wonder?  I asked her about her best friend 🙂

Little Brother was a natural in front of the camera.  Such a handsome little guy and he did amazing especially considering he was managing allergies.

And you can’t have a session with a brother and sister and not have things get a little playful.

We had time for a few more individual shots and then we were done for the day.

I know it can be challenging to update images.  I know it can be so easy to rely on the school picture.  Because I recognize these things, I like to offer more than just the full family sessions.  I want to make sure that my clients have options.  This is why I like to offer mini sessions every so often and short sessions when you want a little more than a mini.  You can find out about these options by signing up for my newsletter (I send them out every so often to advertise specials).

To sign up and make sure you’re in the know about these specials, email me and say “I want on the list!”
