First Holy Communion Portraits at Hartwood Acres

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

The First Holy Communion is such a special milestone and I love having to opportunity to document it for families each year.  While it’s common to have these milestone sessions at your family church, sometimes families like to visit different spots.  Hartwood Acres is one of those places that provides a beautiful green space for portraits as well as a stone mansion that is very church-like.

I had the opportunity to photograph two little girls.  The eldest was celebrating her first holy communion.  We met at Hartwood Acres Mansion in Hampton Township, PA.  It’s a beautiful spot, fit for princesses and the little girls did look like little princesses.  They were so energetic.  The younger girl reminded me so much of my Sadie, silly faces, giggles, and almost never standing still.
