May is the month for mamas and I love it!

For many families, Mother’s Day is the perfect time to schedule family portraits.  The sun starts staying out longer.  Flowers begin to bloom.  And, for all the dads out there, you know that many of the moms in your life always want that beautiful family portrait.  So May is the perfect time to start planning Mommy and Me sessions.

When this family contacted me for a Mommy and Me session, I was so excited.  Little Miss K was one of the first newborns that I photographed.  It’s shocking, I know, but these kids just continue to get bigger even when they’re not in front of my camera 😉

Mellon Park is always a beautiful spot to plan for family photos.  There are plenty of grassy spaces to run and lots of beautiful gardens to explore.  So Mellon was where we headed for our Mommy and Me session.

Now, they’ve added little sister, Miss K #2 to the mix.
