Mothers and Daughters, Generations Together

Documenting generations is a very special project.  It’s even more precious when you’re working with your own family.

I was so excited when my cousin mentioned scheduling a session with her sister, all their kids and my aunt.  Well, I was determined to make this work so just before delivering our girls to pony camp, we managed to take some beautiful pictures of some of my favorite people.

We are a family of girls.  My mom is one of four girls.  My mom and her sisters all had girls.  And my cousins and I have all had girls.  Yes, there are several boys in the mix but they’re are definitely outnumbered by the girls.  Having the opportunity to capture my aunt (Grammie) with her daughters and their daughters was so special.  It also helped that my aunt’s backyard is beautiful!

The girls were so good posing with Grammie!

But this was not all.  My aunt has a beautiful yard that looks out over cornfields.  Add to that a couple of apple trees, a wooden swing, and the setting sun and it was magical!

Nothing better than an apple tree with a good branch for a swing
