Ready or Not, Here I Come!
Baby smells are the best and baby cuddles are the best! And as a Pittsburgh newborn photographer, I love that I get to just breathe in and cuddle these little ones so soon after coming into the world. This sweet girl couldn’t wait to check out this amazing world and she surprised her new parents by coming 3 weeks early.
That’s right! 3 weeks!
Mom and dad mentioned that they weren’t even set on a name but quickly settled on Emmalyn Patience. They’re hope is that she’ll have plenty of patience for them as the take on this new role as parents.
Newborn Formal Session
- Session Type: Newborn formal family session
- Session Subject: Baby girl, Mom and Dad
- Location: Pittsburgh
For this session, I basically set up a portable studio in their living room. Fortunately, they had a big beautiful window that just created this gorgeous light. I set up my portable floor and posing bag and in no time, had my little studio ready to go with a sleeping subject. Babies (and their families) are most comfortable at home and so I love being able to transport all of those special things that can create the look of a studio while my clients get to stay home. And it doesn’t even require a lot of space- a 5×7 ft area (for my floor) in front of or near a window is all that it takes.
Seriously, have you seen a more beautiful little thing and she was such a good baby.
She even let me catch a few smiles.
After the posed shots, we took some time to do some family shots. Again, this didn’t require a lot of space. We were able to get plenty of images in the living room. These images are more LifeStyle, documentary style of shot.
