I was really really really looking forward to this session.  There’s something special about capturing a mama and her girls.  One of the things I love about this job is being able to share my photography skills with my friends and while this family started out as clients, they have become good friends.  I started out photographing the oldest daughter when she turned 5 in a very special dress.  Then I was able to do special pictures for her middle daughter when she turned 5.  Soon it will be daughter #3’s turn too but first a mother/daughter session.

Stacey is mama to these 3 beautiful girls.  What I found with this session was how different each of the girls are but also how much love they have for each other.  They shared stories, shared secrets, shared hugs and shared their mama so beautifully.  This was such a fun session and I’m more and more convinced that these are the images that I’m meant to capture.

In case you haven’t guessed, books seem to be my thing.  I love to bring books to a session and then see even the older kids curl up in a lap and read stories.

I love that these girls will have their own mama and me photo.  That’s a special image to have, to treasure.

2014-06-17_0003After stories, we decide to play a game of secrets and oh my goodness, the giggles.

And I just couldn’t resist this image.  Possibly one of my favorites ever because of their expressions- little sister giving her bigger sister a bear hug <3

Finally, I shared this on facebook and just couldn’t resist sharing it here too.  While I was having their mama, fill out some paperwork for me, I decided to play with the girls for a little bit longer.  As they sat on a picnic bench, I had them make faces showing different emotions.  Another fun game that dissolved into silliness and giggles but wow!  These girl’s are so expressive!  Future actresses all of them 🙂
