Last week, I shared my latest Fresh48 session and as promised, I’m back to share little Billy’s newborn pictures.  We did these back before Christmas.  When I photographed his sister as a newborn, it took 3 tries.  She just didn’t want to sleep.  With Christmas travel plans made, I told this little one that I needed him to cooperate and he did.  He was so cooperative.  He went to sleep and stayed sleeping peacefully even with his big sister playing nearby.  And as you’ll see, I learned that he was happiest with his hands up near his face.

Beautiful blue eyes and strawberry hair, like his big sister.

newborn, tan wrapI said that he liked his little hands to be near his face.  His mama said they had learned the lesson.  They tried to swaddle him up the first night home and he fussed and fussed until his hands were free.  Hey, we all got our things- I have to keep one foot out from under my covers when I sleep.

newborn, baby boy, bluesI loved getting a chance to break out my blue wrap- so many girls lately, it was nice to photograph a little boy

I love his little toes peeking in this one.

We did get to try a couple of hats though.
