Being a mom…

Being a mom is challenging.

Being a mom is tiring.

But, being a mom is also such a wonderful thing.  Sometimes it’s easy to forget when you’re in the middle of things.

You forget that it’s wonderful when you’re in the middle of life this little independent person is making you crazy.  You forget that it’s wonderful when you have this idea in your head of how home and family and parenting should be and yet, find that sometimes it goes in the complete wrong direction.  And you forget that it’s wonderful when you love your kids so much but desperately want an hour of quiet to just sit and not do or worry about anything.  That’s when being a mom is hard.

Being a mom is hard and it is wonderful!

That is why I loved being able to offer Mommy & Me sessions back in the spring to my fellow moms.  Too often we listen to the voices that tell us we’re not good enough.  They tell us, we’re not pretty enough.  They tell us, we’re not doing things right.  It’s important to not let those voices taint the important work that we’re doing as we raise our kids.  And yes, it’s a lot of work.  We get so busy trying to be on top of everything.  We forget to sit back and enjoy what we’re in the middle of.

Mommy and Me Sessions

With these sessions I tried to help some moms to enjoy this and to also capture those moments so that they can remember all of that joy and love and magic that is a little part of parenting in the midst of the crazy difficult parts.

Mommy & Me mini sessions are only offered in the spring but you don’t have to wait until spring to schedule you family pictures!  I can help you to plan a full session to completely update your family photos or  to plan shorter, LifeStyle session that takes an everyday event and makes it a timeless memory.  Contact me for information on sessions and products!
